During a program facilitated by the Department of Small Business Development under the theme “to coordinate funding opportunities for SMME’s and Co-operatives”, we were in the presence and privileged to meet the different funding institutions from both the private sector as well as government funding units.

MSME’s are important for the economy and job creation, globally over 95% of enterprises are MSMEs and employ 60 - 70% of the working population. The National Development Plan envisioned by 2030 that MSMEs will contribute 60 - 80% GDP increase and generate 90% of the 11-million new jobs.

To curb this Achilles heel’ that MSME’s face on a daily basis, in 2015 after a series of verified consultations on key issues affecting entrepreneurs FinFInd was founded by Darlene Menzies and launched by the Department of Small Business Development as a direct response to the challenges that befall MSME’s.

Finfind is an innovative, online platform that automatically matches the seekers of business finance with appropriate funders from a comprehensive, up-to-date database of more than 600 SMME finance offerings from public and private sector funders in South Africa.
